Vets 24/7

In 2012, the practice was involved in the filming of a TV documentary produced by BBC One Wales, entitled "VETS 24/7". As the name suggests, this involved camera crews following our vets around 24 hours a day for one week. The program was aired in March 2012 and repeated in June/ July 2012.

Following the success of the first series, the practice has since finished filming a second and third series of Vets 24/7. This was completed in February and March 2013 and was later aired in August/ September 2013.

A fourth series of Vets 24/7 was commissioned by BBC Wales that was eventually aired in Spring 2017.

Puppy parties!

We are pleased to announce that we are now running Puppy Parties at our new Penllergaer branch!

Puppy parties are a fun way to socialise your new puppy with other dogs and people to get them used to life in the outside world. It's also a great way to get your puppy used to visiting the vets!

Our qualified Veterinary Nurses will be on hand to give you plenty of helpful advice and tips about how to look after your new puppy including information on such topics as neutering, behaviour and nutrition. There will be opportunity to mingle with other puppies and their owners and to ask plenty of questions!

Free refreshments will be available along with special offers and discounts on the night, plus all puppies will be given a free goody bag!

Due to space restrictions and high demand there is a maximum of 2 owners per puppy, per party and a maximum of 8 puppies per party. Due to popularity these events are invitation only and must be pre-booked. To take part your puppy has to:

- Be between 8 - 20 weeks old

- Have had their first vaccination injection

- Be fit and well

The parties are being run as a course of 3 evenings between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm and are proving to be very popular so far! To book your puppy onto our next course, please contact the surgery on 01792 895154 or 01792 205000 and give you details to reception. One of our nurses will ring you back to confirm your place. Hope to see you there!
